“Giant raviolis” as my daughter calls them. Stuffed shells are easy to make and provide a hearty dish that can be prepped ahead of time or made in just 40 minutes. This is really a recipe that highlights what Modest Morsels is all about. Easy to make, delicious, and can be varied with what is on hand in your kitchen. You can even overfill them and claim it is a feature, not a bug.
One of my favorite things about stuff shells is that you can easily vary up the recipe to keep things fresh.
Variations for Stuffed Shells
- Veggie –Add 1/2 cup of chopped mushrooms and 1/2 of cooked spinach
- Meat – Add 1 cup of Italian sausage (Spicy or mild)
- Protein-Packed – Add 1 cup cooked chicken breast
