Nothing says ‘I love you’ more than waking up early (or late) and making pancakes for your family. I make the pancake mix in bulk so I can make these in a pinch. The sweet taste of bananas is infused into these pancakes to make for a novel flavor that kids and adults will crave again and again. I hope these banana pancakes become a staple in your home just as they have in mine! Check out the tips below for how to below for how to streamline and improve the process.
Pancake mix in bulk
Making your mix in bulk allows for you to pull out your jar or container, throw it in a bowl and just add the wet ingredients. It’s a small timesaver, but when everyone is running around getting ready in the morning, shaving 5 minutes off cooking time is an awesome boon.
Preheat your griddle first!
In our home, we have a griddle in the center of our stovetop, but its thick and takes a couple of minutes to heat up. You want a consistent heat throughout cooking because we are making these in batches and want a uniform end product.
Scoop batter with a measuring cup
This one will also help with uniformity. If your pancakes are different sizes, they will require different cooking times. I use a quarter measuring cup to scoop out the batter so that all the pancakes are the same size. All these tips might seem minute, but it’s the little things that make a difference!
Don’t have a griddle? Here’s a link to the one we used prior to getting our new built in one!
