This chili is such an amazing comfort food. It doesn’t hurt that this recipe takes 20 minutes to put together, then you set it and forget it! Sliced avocados add a creamy softness to this easy slow cooker chili. We are working in my home on getting my daughter to start to eat more adult food and shift away from chicken nuggets and french fries. This was a successful first kid-friendly recipe that was a hit with my little one. You can put this in before you head off to work and it will be ready when you get back home. There’s something special about coming home after a long day of work to the smell of chili permeating throughout.
One thing to note is that you’ll want to cook the ground beef prior to adding it to the slow cooker to reduce the risk of food-borne bacteria.
